Healthy team – Work and Play

Team Rethink

I believe one of the greatest benefits of working in a team is the inspiration!

When a team shares ideas there is a lot more scope for creativity. If staff members feel valued they will make suggestions and share experiences with confidence.

Being able to share with the rest of your team excites employees and fosters both individual and team growth and knowledge.

Teams bring people from different backgrounds and all levels of experience together, and create an “all hands on deck” approach to sharing the workload. A team that works well together understands the strengths and weakness of each team member.

When a team is working towards a common goal, especially in challenging times, you can look to one another for guidance or support. Feeling supported and a sense of belonging at work can contribute greatly to a higher level of job satisfaction.

Relying on other people builds trust. Trusting your teammates provides a feeling of safety, which allows people to open up and encourage each other. Open communication is the key.

Healthy teamwork is not just valuable for the employee. This environment allows employees to engage with the company and to the bigger picture. If a team member is connected directly to their workplace they are more likely to stay with the company.

Being a busy full-time working Mum, our family would not function if we did not work well as a team. I am not saying that there aren’t hiccups along the way but the majority of the time our family is well fed, wearing clean clothes and are where they are supposed to be.

Family teams form the first interaction for our children, and the skills learned in the family team setting will help to lead to success in other teams encountered in life. It establishes trust, teaches them responsibility and consequence.

We have a family shared vision, everyone knows what expected of them regardless if they are 47, 13 or 6. Helping each other out and pitching in during the week allows all of us to enjoy the weekends together and more time at the beach!
